Weekends are about to get all the more fun for cat lovers. Furry Friends is set to bring its annual Kitten Palooza to Southwest Washington. June tends to be the month when most kittens are born and is marked as the beginning of the kitten season. With it also being National Adopt a Cat Month, now is the perfect time to provide a kitty with a forever home.

The Oregon rescue’s Kitten Palooza is the perfect opportunity to bring home a feline friend, per KATU. Besides, even if you don’t plan to bring home a cat, the organization is also open to donations. With so many kittens being brought into the rescue, donating food, medicine, supplies, litter, or even money would help Furry Friends provide better care for the little ones. Furthermore, if people want to volunteer, they are more than welcome, as the rescue could use some extra help.

Other than Furry Friends’ Kitten Palooza, several other events are taking place around the United States to help encourage fostering and adopting kittens. On June 1, Fort Wayne Animal Care & Control hosted a Kitten Shower in Indiana, per WPTA. The event was held in partnership with Black Forest Cat Café. This event was for feline enthusiasts to learn more about the organization’s fostering program. They can also bring home a feline friend if they are open to adoption.

In another attempt to tackle the kitten season, the Animal Rescue League of Iowa has opened a kitten nursery. It can house as many as 270 kitties. Little ones under three weeks of age are kept in incubators, per KCCI. The slightly older kittens are also provided with kennels to learn to feed themselves. This ensures they gain weight steadily and grow up to be happy and healthy.
