Actor Jennifer Garner showed off her cat, Moose, via Instagram this week, but not in the way you might think.

Moose, as Garner put it, “pooped his pants,” and the candid video she posted is basically all of us in such a situation.

The concerned cat mom had the dreaded task of giving her kitty a bath, and Moose was not thrilled, as you can see in the video above!

Jennifer Garner Is The Cutest Cat Mom

Even without a fluffy feline, Jennifer Garner is pretty adorable. Add in a sweet cat that isn’t entirely keen on being scrubbed, and it’s cuteness overload. People scooped the whole kitten caboodle.

In Garner’s Instagram post, she explains, “Something’s gone awry,” and then proceeds to cover Moose’s ears — for his dignity, of course. “Moose pooped his pants,” she explains. “We can’t live like this. He’s befouled!”

Quite lovingly, Garner removes Moose’s collar and begs the audience not to judge his obesity, saying “please don’t make fun.” Then, she gets a whiff of Moose’s little accident and notes that it smells.

We’ve all been there.

From there, Garner coos at her cat while she washes him, telling him what a good cat he is. She even does a bit of a musical number for both Moose and us, the audience.

“I’ve never seen a nicer cat than this cat — which is why I feel badly making fun of what’s happened to his butt,” she says.

But Moose Only Put Up With So Much

While we think Moose was certainly a very good cat and put up with the bathing far more than any of ours would, he eventually hit his limit.

In the video, Moose attempts to get away mid-bath, which of course won’t do. Garner manages to wrestle him back, but not without quite the struggle, and a bit of an unhappy scratch from Moose.

“I deserve it,” Garner says, showing off the scratch. “I don’t blame him.”

Finishing up, Garner wipes the floor with a towel using her feet, begging that her mom not see her do it. Then, she wraps the video realizing that she didn’t use the conditioner.

It’s okay, Jennifer. We think you did your best.
